  • DOG MESS

PLAYING FIELD: As the school holidays are upon us please can we ask that all dog owners keep their animals on leads on the Playing Field and to clear up after them. Bins are provided on the field and at each entrance.

CEMETERY: We have been receiving complaints about dog mess in the cemetery. It is even being left on graves! Please remember this a consecrated area with great meaning to many people.

PLEASE CLEAR UP AFTER YOUR DOG!!

  • WHO TO CONTACT

IF you have any queries or problems regarding any of the following these are the contact details of the organisations you need to contact.

Roads, highways including footpaths: Norfolk County Council www.norfolk.gov.uk , follow links to roads and transport. This includes reporting potholes. Tel 0344 800 8020       email [email protected]

Planning, rubbish collections: Broadland District Council  www.broadland.gov.uk  or telephone 01603 431133

  • DOGS

Once again we are receiving complaints regarding loose dogs on the Playing Field: this field was donated to the Parish for the enjoyment of all. Sadly children are being frightened off the field by dogs running free. Please remember, that although your dog is friendly and would never hurt anyone, not everybody will be aware of this. Also, some people are genuinely scared of dogs. For these reasons we ask that all dogs are kept under control on a lead.

We are also having problems with dog waste in the Cemetery and the Playing Field. Bins have been provided near all entrances. Please clear up after your dog. Remember, if you bag your dog waste up properly it can be put in any public letter bin.

If matters do not improve the Council will consider what action it can take.

  • RECYCLING

Cawston has three sets of recycling banks: at the Bell Inn Car Park, at The Village Hall, and in the Cemetery Car Park next to the Bowls Club.

The more they are used (rather than your grey bins at home) the more money is raised to be spent in Cawston.

In 2015 over £1000 was raised this way, and we would like to thank everybody who uses them.

  • DEFIBRILLATORS

Cawston now boasts THREE defibrillators for public use.

One is sited at the Village Hall entrance, the second at the Bowls Club, the third one is in the old red Telephone Kiosk at EASTGATE.
